PS SPARKS Challenge - Stripes

Hello! It's time for this weeks new Paper Smooches SPARKS challenge! My current term on the SPARKS Design Team is coming to a close at the end of this month - and if you missed it, there is a chance to apply for the next term! Check out all the details HERE - seriously so fun! You really should apply!

Anyway, here is what I made this week:

It is the first week of the month, so that means it is a Trend Watch Challenge:

And here is the inspiration piece:

I used a bunch of different sets on this one - kind of went a little crazy I guess! Hullabaloo (candle used for wide stripe), Notebook Paper (narrow strips), Wicked Nauticool (half of sentiment), Word Salad (second half of sentiment), Notebook basics Die, Anchor Die, and Ovals 1 die. I heat embossed the strips with Zing embossing powder before cutting out the notebook die, then the oval out of the center of it. Added some bling from Michael's, some red jute twine, and the sentiment is stamped on hand trimmed banners with MFT inks.

Thanks so much for stopping by to visit! Looking forward to seeing your creations this week as well! Please stop by and see what the rest of the SPARKS team put together:

  1. too cute, great way to combine the different sets, love those gems, in the first pic they almost looked wooden, like how you did the sentiment!
