Wish We Lived Closer - Pretty Skyline

Good morning! I'm back with another card using some of the goodies from the new Friends Release from Simon Says Stamp? I used the same new set - From the Rooftops - that I used the other day, only this time I used the city skyline instead of the mountain peaks!

I used my MISTI to stamp the skyline on a panel of watercolor cardstock, then trimmed the panel down so that I trimmed off the sides and bottom of the city skyline. I watercolored the scene, let that dry, then used my SSS Falling Snow Stencil and Gold Embossing Paste to add a touch of glamour to the scene!

Finished off with a sentiment from another new release - Love and Friendship - that I thought was a perfect fit for my scene! I heat embossed it on a Stitched Banner, adhered that at the top, then adhered the entire panel with some foam underneath on a white cardbase. Simple, clean, and artsy!

Make sure and check out this entire fabulous release HERE:

Lots of Hearts - SSS January Card Kit

Good morning! I'm back once more with a couple MORE cards that I created using BRAND NEW January Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp: Favorite Person! This time I focused more on the stamp set that is included in the kit!

For this card I used a rainbow of SSS inks to create a fun rainbow pattern on the bottom corner of my card. I used 3 of the solid stamp images from the included stamp set, Really Like You.

I stamped a sentiment over the top with Versafine Ink, then added some of the outline hearts in black around the sentiment. Finished off with some coordinating Nuvo Jewel Drops added randomly around the hearts. PERFECT finishing touch!

Next up, I pulled out my Distress Oxide Inks to put together this card that is all about the pink!

I masked off a rectangle on some white cardstock, and blended 3 colors of Distress Oxide Inks on. Peeled off the mask, and used my MISTI to stamp the solid heart and my sentiment in black over the top, stamping several times for a nice dark impression.

I used Stitched Rectangles to die cut that panel, then matted it in black. Added some of the pattern paper from the kit - also matted in black - and added them all to a white cardbase. I mounted the front panel with foam adhesive for a bit of dimension.

The card still felt just a bit flat, so I added some Nuvo Jewel Drops all over the heart to make it nice and shiny and bumpy - it was just the touch it needed!

Here is a look at the entire kit contents - you can find it HERE:

Shouting from the Mountain Tops

Good evening! Did you hear the news about the new Friends Release from Simon Says Stamp? I can't say how excited I am about this particular new set - From the Rooftops - SOOOO unique and fun! I can tell I'm going to be using this one lots!

I started off by cutting a Stitched Circle from Smoke Cardstock, then stamped the mountains from From the Rooftops off the bottom edge. I then stamped them on some exclusive SSS Gina K Cardstock, and paper pieced the mountains, then did the same for the snowy tops. Next I die cut a Nested Talk Bubble from black cardstock, and heat embossed the sentiment on it. I added a bit more of the sentiment on a couple small strips of white cardstock.

I then stamped SSS Abstract Triangles Background in Fog Gray ink, then added some gold splatters using my Starry Colors Palette. I added the circle with foam adhesive, and the sentiments with foam adhesive as well for two layers of dimension! Love the clean and graphic feel - and it's PERFECT even for a guy card!

Pattern Paper Valentines - SSS January Card Kit

Good morning! I'm back today with not one, not two, but FOUR more cards that I made using the BRAND NEW January Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp: Favorite Person

For these cards I pretty much just used the pattern paper in the kit, trimming out lots of embellishments from a couple of the pattern papers, then layering them all together on some of the other pattern papers! I layered everything down until I was happy, then picked each arrangement up with Glad Press & Seal, added foam adhesive to the backs, and then turned them back over and adhered! The front panels were cut using Stitched Rectangles, and matted with a tiny bit of white cardstock to help them pop a little. The first pair of cards is a little softer in color, the second two are a little bolder. Otherwise - these are pretty self explanatory! I'll let the pictures speak for themselves! Enjoy! :)

Puffy Heart Stickers Galore - SSS January Card Kit

Hello there! I'm stopping by tonight with a little card I made using the BRAND NEW January Card Kit from Simon Says Stamp: Favorite Person! There is a darling stamp set, some lovely papers, a mini ink pad, glitter, and the cutest little puffy stickers! I went a little crazy with those puffy stickers for my first card to share with you!

I die cut several of the three smallest sized Stitched Circles dies from white cardstock, and layered these over some of the pattern paper from the kit. Once I was happy with the polka dot pattern, I added various puffy stickers to the two largest sized circles. I then stamped some of the cute little sentiments from the Really Like You stamp set, trimmed them out, and filled in with them.

Here is a look at the entire kit contents - you can find it HERE:

The small dots and the sentiments are mounted with foam adhesive, and the largest with the puffy stickers I adhered straight on the cardbase since they have some height with the puffy stickers already.

Cotton Headed Ninny Muggins!

Good morning! Dropping by to share another little card I put together recently using the darling Heffy Doodle Elfish Antics Stamp set! You just can't help cracking up over that sentiment!

I did a simple watercolor wash on a panel of watercolor paper, then once it dried I tore around all four edges.

I used my MISTI to stamp my sentiment, then popped my colored elf in place with a dab of foam adhesive. Finished off with some Nuvo Jewel Drops and some Crystal Glaze on the boots, belt, and stripe on the hat.

I also thought I'd link up with a couple challenges - first up, Simon Says Monday Challenge - Christmas/Winter Holidays:
